ZUKAN PHOTOS.
This page is intended to represent a sort of photo-catalog of all of the available Zukans in one easy-to-scan format. A word of acknowledgment, many of the pictures below come from the Zukan Ranger Website - check it out. That site was the best place to look for zukan photos that I knew of, but I always wished I could find a photo quickly by scanning all images, rather than trying to guess which set the zukan was in. Also, the images are pretty small on that page, making it hard to appreciate the zukans themselves. My goal is to capture the best of that page and improve on it, by putting the photos all in one easy-to-scan page, and replacing as many of the photos as I can with new ones from my collection that are larger and allow you to zoom in a bit and see the details of the zukan more clearly.
The images are grouped by set, and to the right of each set of photos is a list of the evolutionary lines represented by each Zukan. I listed the lines by the highest stage of evolution to clarify things as some earlier lines only had earlier stages of lines that later added an evolutionary stage and was subsequently represented by a new Zukan.
I am using this page to track my collection, so in case you're wondering what's going on with the different text colors, the green print identifies the Zukans I have in my collection and the red print identify my highest remaining wants. I also have added asterisks (*) to those zukans for which I have spares and might trade. There are a few new Zukans not shown here, and I will try to add those in short order.
Finally, I like to make custom bases for my zukans, as the round//oval disk can get boring after a bit. My favorite zukans are the ones with "habitat" dioramas, so that's what I try to make. I also sometimes just prop them on rocks, which is a quick easy way to enjoy a nice rock, when I find one, and also create a more natural setting for the zukan. I will try to show those zukans for which I have made custom bases on both their original base, and the custom, and label them accordingly in the right column.
